Kellie & John

We met 11 years ago in our early twenties, working at Macaroni grill in Aliso Viejo, California. We dated briefly but went our separate ways and lost contact until December 2020. After catching up a little bit we each realized the "one that got away" may be a thing of the past as we were both single and clearly remembering all the things we liked about each other still remained. We jokingly talked of hanging out like we were just down the street from each other but john lived in denver and Kellie lived in Irvine. On a whim Kellie said, "well new years is a long weekend anyway, should we make plans and I can fly out?" We began checking flights and realizing how easy it would be to see each other again. It's as if the stars were truly aligning. We had an amazing new years weekend and for the most part haven't been separated much since. 

On march 21st, john proposed at a life guard tower where we shared memories so long ago. It was  the perfect unsuspecting set up, thanks to a few co-conspirators and a panicky john having to tell little white lies. 

In May, Kellie moved out to Colorado. We found an apartment to call home and were be able to begin our lives together...finally in the same state and state of mind!
